Band Description
“The Marching Band is one of the public faces of our school, and in some settings (like parades), the only public face. If our marching band looks good, our whole school looks good.” - This is the essence of some words spoken by our former band director, Nick Greeson. We all know it to be true. It is much responsibility in the hands of a small group of students. They deserve our support, and we give it gladly and with enthusiasm. This is the goal of this site.

Selbyville Halloween Parade 10-30-13
| Selbyville Halloween Parade 10-30-13 |
Yes, there is a personal satisfaction and enjoyment in playing music, but music is meant to be played for others in a performance. All performances are different, some more fun and casual than others. That's why we like the Halloween Parade in Selbyville, Delaware
Once we unloaded at SDSA, the band warmed up in the grass. A few kids were posing for a picture, and suddenly the whole gang rushed in to get in the shot. And this is how the evening started. It was great fun for everyone.
One perk of this parade is playing in the confined space of a street. Our band sounded great, and BIG.

Senior Night
This Friday is our last home game of the football season. It is also Senior Night. We will be having a dessert reception for the whole band and the band parents.
As a parent of a senior, it has not yet sunk in that this is our Katherine's last home game. What! It is the last chance at a home game to make those memories which she will carry for the rest of her life. And of course, this holds true for the rest of our band seniors. For our seniors, this year is it. There is no next year, no larger band that will have been built. There is just NOW.
Memories... this is why we are involved with the band... we get to create our own, AND we get to help make those of our children that much better (at least that's the idea).

This video of Band Day showed up on Facebook. It was produced by the U. of D. I think. Sorry, but I couldn't get a screen shot of the video to display.
